Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 12, 2026

The short version: your photos are analyzed entirely on your own device. They are never uploaded, never stored, and never seen by us or anyone else. We run no analytics, set no tracking cookies, and require no account.

1. Who we are

Face Shape Finder ("we", "us") operates this website, a free tool that identifies your face shape from a photo using artificial intelligence. For any privacy question, contact us at [email protected].

2. Your photos never leave your device

The face shape analysis is performed by an AI model that downloads to and runs inside your web browser using WebAssembly. When you select or capture a photo:

Because the analysis is local, we cannot see your photos even if we wanted to. This is privacy by architecture, not just by promise. We also ask for your explicit consent via a checkbox before any analysis runs.

3. What we store on your device

We use your browser's local storage for exactly one thing: remembering your light/dark theme preference. This value never leaves your browser, contains no personal information, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. We do not use cookies, and we do not use local storage to track you.

4. What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or process: photos or any biometric data, names, email addresses, accounts or passwords, analysis results, IP-address logs on our side, or behavioral analytics. There is no sign-up, no newsletter list unless you email us yourself, and no advertising or tracking pixels on this site.

5. Third-party resources

Like most websites, this site loads a few static resources from third-party content delivery networks: fonts from Google Fonts, the AI runtime from the jsDelivr CDN, and the face landmark model file from Google's model hosting. When your browser fetches these files, those providers technically receive your IP address and standard request headers, as with any web resource. These requests deliver static files only — your photo is never part of any of them. Please refer to the privacy policies of Google and jsDelivr for how they handle server logs.

6. Camera access

If you choose "Use Camera", your browser will ask for permission to access your camera. The live camera feed is shown only to you and is used solely to capture the photo you take. The feed is not recorded or transmitted, and camera access ends the moment you close the capture window. You can revoke camera permission at any time in your browser settings.

7. Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience styling tool and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because no photos or personal data are ever transmitted or stored, there is no data about children (or anyone else) for us to hold. If you are a parent with questions, contact us at [email protected].

8. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is typically nothing for us to access or delete — your photo and results exist only on your device and disappear when you leave. If you believe we hold any information about you (for example, from an email you sent us), contact us and we will address it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the tool works — for example, adding optional cloud features or analytics — we will update this policy first and note the new effective date at the top. The on-device, no-upload analysis described above is the core promise of this product and will not change silently.

10. Contact

Questions, concerns, or requests: [email protected]. We aim to reply within a few business days.
